Whether your child is currently struggling with a particular subject, frustrated with the amount of effort required to keep up with homework, or wants to get ahead and excel, The Principal Difference works with you to achieve those goals. Here’s how the process begins:

What To Expect at the Initial Consultation        
This is a relaxed time where we meet, become acquainted with you and your child and we clarify his educational needs. We begin to discover your child’s learning style and learning preferences. This meeting will help your child become more comfortable with the process of educational support. Our conversation will help to establish the goals for your child’s learning sessions with The Principal Difference.

Designing Your Child's Personalized Learning Plan
We hope that after meeting us you will be ready to schedule your child's assessment session. This will usually take about an hour with the teacher. During this time we will do a variety of reading and skills assessments. Please bring along any current school grade reports, recent graded schoolwork or any other materials from the school that may help to give us a complete picture of your student's learning situation. The results of the assessment will be used to develop your child's personal learning plan. The assessment fee is $100.

How The Principal Difference Implements the Learning Plan
Putting the learning plan into action is the fun part! This will be your child's time to shine. One-to-one learning sessions are scheduled at our location. We believe that having a designated learning environment helps to limit distractions and serves to make the best use of our learning time together. The number of sessions per week will depend upon your child’s academic needs and goals. Twice per week is typical, but will vary with each student. We strongly suggest that you plan on of a minimum of four learning sessions, but we do not require any long-term contracts, so the length of your commitment with The Principal Difference is up to you.
