Tutoring & academic support
specializing in ages 6-14 years

WHAT IS THE PRINCIPAL DIFFERENCE?
The difference is the combined experience and wisdom of two seasoned Principals/Educators who believe that ALL children can enjoy academics and be successful learners when they are encouraged to work within their own learning styles.

We will work with your child according to their preferred style of learning; the end goals include: improved performance, study skills that produce successful outcomes, and most importantly, an enthusiasm for learning.

THE WAY THEY LEARN

With The Principal Difference
one-to-one instruction shines the spotlight on YOUR child’s academic needs and keeps them focused and moving forward!

We know that for many students, large class instruction simply isn’t an effective learning experience. Therefore, our aim is to provide you and your child with quality academic tutoring or homeschool support, helping each student in their unique situation to attain their best outcome whether it’s grasping a better understanding of concepts, improving performance in a particular subject, reinforcing skills, or helping your child complete homework without family stress. We enjoy finding strategies that work best for kids and encourage them on to success!

WHAT ARE YOUR SUMMER PLANS?
During the summer break, having a tutor work with your child on subjects they have had difficulty with can start the next school year on the right foot. Research shows that continued instruction through the summer months can have a dramatic impact on academic performance. Call The Principal Difference at 949.291.5086 to schedule Summer Learning Sessions.

TEN SIGNS THAT YOUR CHILD MAY NEED ACADEMIC SUPPORT

1. Your child consistently avoids reading activities or complains that reading is too difficult.
2. He often says "I'm stupid" or "I don't get it" or "I can't do it."
3. Your instincts tell you that she's having a harder time than her classmates.
4. She's behind her classmates in a skill she should have mastered in an earlier grade, such as spelling, grammar, basic math, or writing.
5. He can't manage homework time well; homework takes too long, or your child can't seem to complete the assignment in a reasonable amount of time.
6. She fails to take responsibility for doing her homework.
7. She does well in some subjects but poorly in others.
8. He never reads for pleasure.
9. She does well in small groups, but feels 'lost' in larger settings.
10. Your child fears that he will never do well in school.
